The Laurel Police Department say they, along with the assistance of the Delaware State Police Drug Unit and the United States Postal Inspector, seized $10,000.00 worth of marijuana that was apparently trying to be sent through the mail.

According to Laurel Police, the marijuana was packaged inside a parcel container and sealed. Police say this was in attempt to conceal the scent of the drug.

Investigators say the marijuana originally was posted from a fake address in California to a location in Laurel, Del.

Police say the marijuana was seized and placed into evidence to be destroyed at a later date.

Officers say there are no suspects in relation to the incident, and the investigation is currently closed.
