Parkside student charged with threatening school official

A Fruitland teen is facing charges, after law enforcement says he threatened a teacher.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on Monday, around 9:30 AM, A Deputy investigated an incident, where a 16-year-old student at Parkside High School threatened a teacher.

According to the report, the teacher questioned had a student who was wandering the hallway instead of being in class. The student the reportedly responded angrily, and threatened to knock the teacher “the expletive out.” Investigators say the student then continued to be verbally abusive to the teacher.

The juvenile was apparently referred to the Department of Juvenile Services for adjudication, after being charged with threats against a school official. He was then released to his parents.
