OC expecting strong Springfest turnout despite rain

Ocean City’s 26th annual Springfest is in full swing despite all the rain the Eastern Shore has been getting this week.

The town is still expecting to see about 100,000 people this weekend for the event. Jessica Waters, Ocean City’s communications manager, is reminding folks that the event is rain or shine and that everything is underneath tents, so you won’t feel a drop.

Waters  goes on, “We have a sold out show tonight and a nearly sold out show tomorrow. I think after a very long winter, at this point people are excited to be at the beach even if that means a little bit of rain.”

Springfest ends on Sunday at 6 p.m.
