Mexican Consulate comes back to Salisbury

The Mexican Consulate from D.C. is back at Francis de Sales Church in Salisbury to bring their services to Mexican citizens on Delmarva.

Those services include helping Mexican citizens on the Eastern Shore obtain Mexican passports for the first time, renew them, as well as get Mexican IDs. Officials say an important part of this trip is convenience.

“We have come here so we can help the Mexicans that live here, ” says Lourdes Chavez, from the Mexican Consulate, “…because for some of them they don’t have a lot of time or means of transportation.”

Officials say the consulate also brought legal services that are open to everyone not only Mexican citizens. The Mexican Consulate will be in Salisbury until Saturday.
