Man found beaten in Chester, investigation remains ongoing

Law enforcement in Queen Anne’s County says they are investigating a possible robbery, in Chester, that left a man naked, on the side of the road.

The Office of the Sheriff for Queen Anne’s County says on Monday, Deputies responded to Jarman Branch Road, outside of Centreville for reports of a possible robbery.

Once on scene, Investigators say they found a 23-year-old man who had been beaten, robbed and left on the road.

The victim was taken to Queen Anne’s Emergency Room, where he was treated, and interviewed.

According to the report, the victim told investigators that he had left work, when he got a call from an acquaintance asking if he knew where he could buy some marijuana.

He apparently said that he did, about 20 minutes later the victim was picked up by three men in a blue-grey four door Honda.

Three men and the victim all drove to Rt. 304, where they pulled over.

Police documents say, one of the men pulled out a gun, forcing the victim from the car and beating him in the face with the gun while threatening to kill him. The other two suspects then removed all of the victims clothing except his socks and left him alongside the road.

He then ran to a nearby house and the residents gave him clothing and called the police.

The investigation has identified the three likely suspects along with the owner of the suspect’s vehicle, however their real names have not been identified.

The police report says, two of the suspects were known as *Bones* and *Ring Bell*.

Some of the items the suspect allegedly took were the victim’s work clothes, shoes, a Black Berry cell phone, and his wallet with identification, bank cards and $10 cash.

Police say, some of the items were recovered along the road near Bridgetown in Caroline County. After the interview, the victim was later released from the hospital.

The investigation has also revealed that one of the suspects may have been to the victim’s house earlier in the day, looking for a family member. A search & seizure warrant was executed for the house of one of the suspects last night, who lives on 4th Street in Denton.

Investigators say results from the search are not being released at this time, as this investigation is active and ongoing.
