Laurel man arrested for using friend’s card to make personal purchases

Members of the Laurel Police Department say they arrested Aaron Floyd, 50 of Laurel, Del., after he apparently took a friend’s debit card and made purchases on the card around the area, totaling $550.00.

Floyd has been charged with seven counts of second degree Forgery, 19 counts of Theft Under $1500.00, and 18 counts of Unlawful Use of a Debit/Credit Card. 

According to investigators, out of the 18 counts of Unlawful Use of a Debit/Credit Card, Floyd had to sign for the transactions which Floyd forged the victim’s name.

Investigators say the victim described Floyd as a “trusted victim.”

Police say Floyd was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in default of a $2,550.00 cash bond.
