Lady Gulls fall in OT to Franklin and Marshall

The Salisbury women’s lacrosse team fell 6-5 in an overtime thriller against Franklin and Marshall on Sunday afternoon.

The game would be tight throughout, with the teams going in tied at three at the half. In the second half, the Diplomats would come out and score two goals in a span of 1:16 to take a 5-3 lead. But again the Gulls would answer with two of their own, including a game-tying goal by freshman Gabrielle Mongno with 3:38 left on the clock. The Diplomats held for the last shot, but were turned away on a great save by Gulls keeper Gianna Falcone.

In the overtime, F&M’s Gabby Frank would score the winner, off a great feed inside from Grace Saliba. The Gulls finish their season with a final record of 18-3.
