Indians End Season On High Note At Tech

The Indian River girls lacrosse team capped off the teams first season on a high note when they traveled to Sussex Tech on Tuesday and pulled out a 16-11 win. The win improves the Indians to 5-10, while the loss drops the Ravens to 4-10.

The Indians would jump out to a big lead as their three headed monster would shoulder the scoring. Emiley Shuey, Helen Davis and Lexi Haden were seemingly scoring at will as they helped the road team to a healthy lead by half. Tech came out ready to play in the second half though, as birthday girl Morgan Johnson would find the back of the net three straight time to help her team claw within 5 scores. But the offense would answer the call for the Tribe. The Indians trio continued to score as they were able to put the game away for the nice road win.

The Indians now await the release of the State Tournament draw to find out if they made the field, while the Ravens host Cape Henlopen on Wednesday.
