Hutchins Twirls Gem In Senators Win

The Dover baseball team picked up a solid non-conference win Saturday behind a pitching gem from Jordan Hutchins, topping AI duPont 10-0. The win improves the Senators to 11-2.
Hutchins would have it going from the start, striking the Tigers leadoff hitter with a backwards K. He continued to build a rhythm at the plate, as he would finished with a CG, SO, 3-hitter with 8 strike outs. The bats would then get going for the home team. Hutchins would contribute with a pair of hits while scoring 3 runs. He wouldn’t be on base for very long as Jarvis Worthy would have a great day at the dish, finishing with a pair of hits and 3 RBI’s. Dwight Wilson also had a pair of hits to go with his 3 RBI’s. Tyler Rossello would then have a hit to left in the 6th to push their lead to 9 before the Senators would end the game in walk-off fashion, after Worthy would hit a RBI single to left.
Dover returns to work on Tuesday when they travel to Milford.
