Hazmat team, firefighters respond to scrapyard fire

(AP) – Fire and hazardous materials units were called to the scene of a vehicle fire and antifreeze leak at a Wilmington fire.
Wilmington Fire Department spokesman James R. Jobes said in a news release that firefighters arrived to find a forklift and a car being prepared for scrap engulfed in flames Tuesday afternoon.
Jobes says the fire was quickly controlled, with a nearby building suffering minimal damage.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control was then called to the scene to clean up a leak from a 300-gallon barrel of antifreeze.
Fire officials have concluded that the cause of the fire was accidental.
