Glen Avenue in Salisbury to close during SU graduation ceremonies Wednesday and Thursday

Students at Salisbury University are preparing for graduation, as is Wicomico County.

The Wicomico Youth & Civic Center says they will be hosting Salisbury University’s 2016 commencement ceremonies on Wednesday evening, and Thursday. On Wednesday, the ceremony for SU grad students will start at 6:00 PM, while on Thursday, there will be two ceremonies for the undergrads, one at 10:00 AM and another at 2:00 PM.

To keep both the graduates, and their friends and families safe, the County has opted to close the portion of Glen Avenue, in front of the civic center.

Vehicles will not be permitted to drive between Civic Avenue to St. Albans Drive, starting at 4:30 PM on Wednesday until 9:00 PM. The roadway will re-open overnight, and shut back down from 8:00 AM Thursday, until 6:00 PM.
