Fishing pier reopens in Cape Henlopen

Just in time for the good weather this weekend, the newly repaired 1,300 foot fishing pier reopened at the Cape Henlopen State Park on Wednesday.

The vintage World War II landmark has been restored so visitors, anglers and bird watchers can use it.

The park will also have six new camping cabins on the grounds. Delaware Governor Jack Markell proclaimed June 5th “Delaware State Parks Day.” That may be a good time to check out all these additions because people will be able to visit any state park that day for free.
