Fire at Interstate Container caused by electrical spark

47 ABC was on the scene of a fire at Interstate Electrical around 6:30 PM Monday.

Crews on-scene say the blaze was caused by an electrical spark at the building’s chute where cardboard is disposed.

According to officials, that chute caught fire, and traveled into a silo where the excess cardboard is disposed.

Authorities say no one was hurt.

An area of Woods Road between Chesapeake Drive and Field Crest Road was closed off while the scene was active.

Crews from Dorchester and Talbot counties assisted.
