Easton kicks off playoffs with strong start to defeat KI

The Easton Warriors baseball team jumped out of the box hot, scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning to set the table to defeat Kent Island 6-1.
After starter Mason Ledford retired Kent Island in the top of the first, the Warriors came and gave him an early lead off of a couple of errors and infield hits. Keegan Bentz scored when Brennan Cassell beat out a throw to first. Ledford then laid down the perfect bunt as Ryan Farr came lumbering from third and beat the flip home for the suicide squeeze. The Warriors would add a couple more runs and hold off KI.
Easton will now travel to take on number one seed Parkside on Monday, that game is set for 4 p.m.
