DSP find reported meth lab in vehicle in Camden

A Henderson man now faces charges, after law enforcement say a suspicious vehicle complaint, led to the discovery of a one-pot meth lab in Camden.
Delaware State Police say around 5:30 PM on Sunday, Troopers arrived at the 200 block of Willow Tree Circle, to check on a car that had been parked in a vacant lot. As the Troopers approached the 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, they say they noticed two people sleeping inside.
According to the report, before making contact with the two occupants, Troopers smelled a strong odor of a chemical, coming from the truck.
Troopers say with the assistance of the DSP Kent County Drug Unit, Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, and the Little Creek Fire Department, a search of the vehicle revealed equipment and component mixtures of the manufacturing stages of meth, along with key ingredients in making the drug.
Tollowing the search, Troopers say they took both occupants, 36-year-old Jeffrey Korell, and a 24-year-old woman, into custody. Korell was charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, while the woman in the incident was given a criminal summons for the possession of marijuana, and released.
Korell is currently being held on a $20,000 cash bond at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center.
