Dover woman accused of stabbing man in home

A 23-year-old Dover woman is facing charges, after Police say she stabbed a man, in his home.

Dover Police say on Tuesday around 8:15 PM, Officers responded to the Bayard Apartments building on West Loockerman Street, for reported of a stabbing. Once on scene, Investigators say they found a 49-year-old man, with an injury to his back, from being stabbed with a knife.

Police say the victim was able to identify 23-year-old Charisma Whaley, as the assailant. She was later taken into custody at her home on South New Street, and charged with assault second degree, and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of felony.

Whaley was then ordered to be held at the Baylor Women’s Correctional Center, on a $15,000 cash bond.
