Dover police arrest 22-year-old man and woman on drug charges

Dover police say a man and woman were arrested on multiple drug charges following a traffic stop.

On Friday (5/6), police say they stopped 22-year-olds Zechariah Gilbert and Michelle Jackson on North Edgehill Avenue and Division Street.

After searching the vehicle, police say they found five grams of crack cocaine and over one-and-a-half grams of heroin.

Police say Jackson was also wanted on a Violation of Probation.

We’re told Gilbert was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $37,000 secured bond.

Authorities say Gilbert now face the following charges:

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
  • Possession of Heroin (Tier 1 Quantity)
  • Possession of Cocaine (Tier 1 Quantity)
  • 2nd Degree Conspiracy

Dover police say Jackson was committed to the Baylor Correctional Center on $37,500 secured and $1,000 cash bond.

Jackson faces:

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
  • Possession of Heroin (Tier 1 Quantity)
  • Possession of Cocaine (Tier 1 Quantity)
  • 2nd Degree Conspiracy
  • Violation of Probation
