Dover man arrested on drug possession charges with baby in vehicle

A Dover man, who is apparently on probation, is facing charges, after Police say he was found to have drugs, and a baby, in his car.
Dover Police say on Friday, just after 11:30 PM, the Dover Police Street Crimes Unit with Delaware Probation and Parole, spoke with 27-year-old Donta Durham, a known Level 3 probationer, in the parking lot of Wawa. Durham was apparently sitting in the drivers seat of a green Buick, along with a woman, and her 7-month-old child.
During a search of Durham’s vehicle, Officers say they discovered that he was in possession of 9.3 grams of crack cocaine, and 110 bags of heroin totaling 1.65 grams.
Durham was then taken into custody without incident, where Police charged him with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin – tier 1 quantity, possession of crack cocaine – tier 1 quantity, endangering the welfare of a child, and violation of probation. He was then ordered to be held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $15,750 secured bond, and a Probation Administrative Warrant.
