Delaware DPH campaign to help keep your skin safe this summer

Summer is right around the corner and it may have you thinking about the pool, the beach or just being outside in general. But something else you should be thinking of is protecting your skin.
According to the Delaware Division of Public Health, Delaware ranks the third-highest in the nation in terms of frequency rates of melanoma. But the DPH says there are steps that you can take to protect yourself against the deadly disease, such as always using sunscreen and doing regular self-examination checks.
This year the DPH is behind a skin cancer prevention program they are calling #ProtectYourSkinDE in hopes of educating and encouraging folks to take appropriate action when it comes to protecting your skin. If you would like to learn more, you can visit: ProtectYourSkinDE.com
This year, the DPH is also hosting several events throughout the summer across Delmarva in an effort to connect people with resources for prevention and early detection, and are as follows:
