Crisfield man faces mulitple charges after firing shots

Crisfield police say the man responsible for firing multiple shots Friday morning, is in custody.

We’re told Jamaal Taylor turned himself in last night around 8:30.

Around 10:45 a.m. Friday, Taylor allegedly fired multiple shots at an individual who was riding a bike near 2nd Street & Broadway.

After obtaining search and arrest warrants, police say they couldn’t locate a weapon. A motive has reportedly not been established as to why Taylor may have shot at the person riding a bike.

According to police, Taylor is being held at the Somerset Co. Detention Center on no bond. Police say Taylor has an extensive criminal history.

Taylor now faces the following charges:

  • Assault 1st Degree (2 Counts)
  • Assault 2nd Degree (2 Counts)
  • Reckless Endangerment (2 Counts)
  • Firearm Use In A Felony Violent Crime (2 Counts)
  • Attempted 1st Degree Murder
  • Attempted 2nd Degree Murder
  • Handgun On A Person
  • Dangerous Weapon Conceal
  • Dangerous Weapon with Intent To Injure
  • Regulated Firearm Illegal Possession
