County council schedules vote for Talbot Boys statue

In Easton, the Talbot County Council has voted to move the NAACP’s recommendation on the Talbot Boys statue into their legislative session.
The NAACP is asking the council to move the Talbot Boys statue, which is a figure of a Confederate soldier that sits in front of the courthouse, to a “more appropriate” location.
The NAACP also wants the council to set up a commission that would create a new statue incorporating the history of both Maryland Confederate and Union soldiers.
The council will vote on the recommendation on June 7th.
