Cape girls lacrosse blows by Caravel

The Cape Henlopen girls lacrosse team advanced to the DIAA finals, defeating Caravel 20-7 on Thursday night at Wesley.
Offensively, the Vikings were led by Caily Thornburg and Elizabeth Frederick. The duo combined for 12 goals as Cape jumped out to a 12-5 lead at the half. Olivia Duarte (4 goals) led Caravel on the offensive end. After the Bucw cut the lead to 14-7, Cape went on a 6-0 run to zip up the win.
The Vikings will face off against Tower Hill, who defeated Polytech 11-10 in the semifinal round. The championship game is Tuesday, May 31st, at Wesley College.
