West Salisbury Elem. educator named “Teacher Who Makes A Difference”

Gym class in grade school: for some people, it was something to look forward to. For others, not so much.
For West Salisbury Elementary physical education teacher Harlan Eagle, it’s landed him as our latest “Teacher Who Makes A Difference”
Eagle teaches students from kindergarten through second grade, and he says the best part of teaching gym class is the great energy from kids.
Eagle has been teaching at West Salisbury for five years but has been educator for 30 years overall.
For those who are newer at teaching, he says the most important thing is stay positive and patient.
“This is a really tough job but always look for the positive,” explains Eagle. “There’s always great kids in every class. Every kid is trying. Try to find the best things in each of them.”
