Warriors Overcome Slow Start, Top Bennett

The Easton boys lacrosse team overcame a very slow start to top Bennett 12-8 on Friday afternoon. The win improves the Warriors to 1-0, while the loss drops the Clippers to 1-1.
The Clippers came out red hot from the field, quickly building up a 5-1 lead after getting goals from Chad Farro and Luke Nester. The lead would hold through the first quarter as it looked like Bennett may be on their way to an impressive win, but that’s when Easton would hit their stride. Sam Phillips took over in the second quarter, scoring two goals while assisting on another one to help Easton climb back to take a 6-5 lead into the break. With the momentum on their side, the Warriors continued their good play in the second half, getting a score immediately from Dylan Keenan. They would ride their good play the rest of the for the win, finishing the game on a 11-3 run.
Easton returns to work on Tuesday when they travel to play Sallies, while Bennett host Worcester Prep on Wednesday.
