UPDATE: Felony charges dismissed against Dorchester Co. tire plant employee in gun incident

Ryan Walsh, 35, of Seaford, Del.

Two of the more serious offenses that a tire plant supervisor was facing, after he reportedly pulled gun on employees in Dorchester County, have been dismissed.

The Dorchester County State’s Attorney’s Office tells 47 ABC that the two felony first degree assault charges against 35-year-old Ryan Walsh, of Seaford, Delaware, were dismissed during a preliminary hearing on Tuesday morning.

Back in February, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says Deputies responded to the  McCarthy Tire Plant, on Williamsburg Road, in Federalsburg, for reports of a man with a gun. That investigation reportedly showed that Walsh, a supervisor at the plant, called a meeting about being unhappy with the production of the employees, during which he pulled a 9mm semi-automatic pistol out, cocked the hammer, and waved it around in an attempt to intimidate the employees.

Walsh is set to stand trial for the remaining charges of two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of second degree assault, and wearing and carrying a concealed weapon without a license, on May 11 in Circuit Court.
