Lawsuit filed following death of Delaware inmate

The State of Delaware Department of Correction has released the name of a Georgetown inmate that reportedly died last month.

According to reports 40-year-old James Daniels, an inmate at the Sussex Community Correction Center in Georgetown, died on April 10. Officials say, he was pronounced dead at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes around 7:30 AM.

Daniels was serving a six-month sentence for violation of probation.

Daniel’s body has been turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science, as is standard procedure. Officials say, no foul play is suspected.
