Trump’s Harrington rally maintained smooth despite removal of protestors

There was heavy traffic on Route 13 following Donald Trump’s rally in Harrington on Friday. Aside from the congestion, officials say the event ran smoothly.

There were not nearly as many protestors at the Harrington rally in comparison to Trump’s event in Berlin on Wednesday. However, there were a few escorted off the property.

A group of college and high school women say they walked in to the event with signs supporting Bernie Sanders and security let them in. However, once inside problems ensued.

Amanda Sturgeon says, “We were just standing with our signs bundled up and we had one man come over. He was kind of antagonizing and harassing us and trying to get a rise out of us. We didn’t really say anything.”

Darciana Reynolds says, “We have the right to assemble peacefully. I felt like we were being peaceful so they shouldn’t have been legally allowed to kick us out of there.”

The Harrington fairgrounds are private property.
