Three arrested on drug charges at home in Magnolia

Three people have been arrested, after Police say they were involved in illegal drug sales from a home in Magnolia.
Delaware State Police say on Monday, the Kent County Governor’s Task Force responded to a home on Walnut Street, to do an administrative probation search at the home of 29-year-old William Nieberg III, who is on probation, after a 2015 drug conviction.
Once at the home, Police say they arrested Nieberg in his upstairs bedroom, where they noticed the window open, and a plastic bag directly below. According to the report, that plastic bag contained 253 bags of heroin weighing 3.795 grams. Police say Nieberg also had over $1,000 in suspected drug proceeds on him.
As Troopers and Probation Officers continued to search the bedroom, they say they found a purse belonging to Haley Nickerson, 20 of Frederica, with three pills, identified as Tramadol Hydrochloride, inside a pill bottle, that were not prescribed to her. Investigators say they also spoke with Austin Balke, 29 of Magnolia, who appeared to living in a shed on the property. He was reportedly found to be in possession of one single bag of heroin.
Trooper say all three people were taken to Troop 3 in Camden, where Nieberg was charged with possession of a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity – heroin, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and ordered to be held at the Sussex Correctional Institution on $26,100 secured bond.
Nickerson was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, and was released on $500 unsecured bond. Balke was charged with possession of controlled substance – heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia, and released on $600 unsecured bond.
