SU Opens New Stadium With Dominating Win

The Salisbury University men’s lacrosse team opened up their new stadium with a big time win Saturday when they rolled past Frostburg 13-3. The win improves the Sea Gulls to 15-0 on the year.

Salisbury would jump out to a quick lead, dominating the first quarter by out scoring the Bobcats 5-0. Thomas Cirillo would lead the way, recording both of his goals there. Frostburg would settle down in the second though, managing to find the back of the net twice on their way to trimming SU’s lead to 6-2 at the break. But the Gulls would put the game away in the 3rd, recording 4 straight scores to build their lead to 8. Nathan Blondino would pace the home team, finishing with a hat trick, while Brady Deshiell would add a pair of scores himself.

SU returns to work on Wednesday when they travel to York.
