Snow Hill’s Bats Explode In Win Over Jags

The Snow Hill softball team hit the road Monday afternoon and picked up a 17-7 win over Washington. The win improves the Eagles to 4-2, while the loss drops the Jaguars to 2-2.
The Jaguars would jump out to a quick lead after Grace Barnes turned on one to left field for a solo shot in the 1st. The lead would hold til the bats finally got going for Snow Hill. The Eagles would get it started with a RBI base knock from Anna Adams. Shortly after that, Laurie Short would rip an RBI base knock down the 3rd base line as every bat in the line up would get hot. Kelsey Hall’s speed at the top of the line up helped continue to apply pressure on the Jags as they would build up a 17-2 lead by the 5th inning. There, Washington would do all they could to extend the game, getting a 2 RBI triple from Brooke Collier scoring Abby Webster and Zoey Nichols. But the Eagles would get the final out of the inning eventually to close out the game for the win.
Snow Hill returns to work on Tuesday when they travel to Pocomoke, while Washington travels to Mardela on Tuesday.
