Seahawks Top the Golden Knights After Late Push For First Win

The Sussex Academy girls soccer team hosted Sussex Central Tuesday night and after a long scoreless game, the Seahawks netted their only goal of the night and won 1-0.

This game was scoreless throughout the entire first half. The first half also saw the ball out of bounds more than in bounds. There weren’t many attempts by either team to score. 

After a halftime pep talk by the coaches both teams came back and played much better than in the first half. They attempted goals, than finally Sussex Academy netted a goal in the middle of the second half and that goal was all they needed. 

The Seahawks are now 1-4 on the season while the Golden Knights are now 2-2 on the season. Both teams are back in action Thursday. Sussex Central will host Dover, and Sussex Academy will host Woodbridge.
