Seabrease swipes home to give Vikings win in extras
The Cambridge South Dorchester softball team outlasted Colonel Richardson 7-6 in eight innings on Thursday afternoon.
After leading 5-1 thru five, the Colonels pushed three runs across in the top of the 6th, and one in the top of the seventh to tie the game up. In extras, Colonel would score once more in the top of the eighth. Cambridge would answer back with an RBI double by Kaylie Seabrease. Seabrease would steal third on a passed ball, and swipe home after Colonel attempted to intentionally walk a batter, as the ball got away and into the backstop. Seabrease came sliding in for the game winner as her team mobbed her to celebrate.
The Vikings moved to 3-0 on the young season, while Colonel sits at 3-2.
