Salisbury man charged for handgun in car

Shawn Goslee Johnson, 27, of Salisbury, Md.

A Salisbury man is facing charges, after Police say he was found with a gun, during a traffic stop.

The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on April 1, their Community Action Team stopped a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Shawn Johnson on Bethel Road at Spring Avenue, in Salisbury.

During the stop, Investigators say a K-9 search was conducted, who alerted to controlled dangerous substance in the vehicle. The vehicle was then apparently searched, during which a loaded .38 revolver was reportedly found in the floor board of the vehicle.

Johnson was then arrested, and charged with wear and carry firearm, possess regulated firearm, and possess regulated firearm being prohibited. He was then turned over to the Wicomico County Detention Center.
