Parkside Shakes Slow Start, Top Sussex Tech

The Parkside girls lacrosse team started slow but was able to rally for a 16-11 road win at Sussex Tech on Monday. The win improves the Rams to 2-2, while the loss drops the Ravens to 1-3. 

The Ravens would come out of the gate and apply the early pressure. Tech would quickly build a 5 goal lead after Madi Baba and Morgan Johnson would both have it going. The Rams would be forced to call a quick time out,, and the Rams would respond out of the break. They would get scores from Kaitlyn Morris and Sydney Rebstock as they fought back to tie up the match headed to halftime. Morris would finish the match with a 6 goals, while Rebstock would add 3. The Rams would continue to carry the momentum into the second half as Tori Appel would help the offensive load as well to help close out the match. 

Parkside returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to Easton, while Sussex Tech travels to Dover on Wednesday.
