A COMMUNITY THANK YOU

  • A big thank you from the Bayview Christian School for our donation to their annual school fundraising dinner/auction.  We helped them raise over $15,500 that will directly benefit the school.

OUT IN THE COMMUNITY

  • Lenita Wesson did an outstanding job at  theLight  of Literacy Awards Breakfast at  Wicomico Youth and Civic Center Thursday morning.  Thanks, Lenita, we appreciate your strong support for literacy of all types!
  • Thursday, Phil Bankert, Teri Monahan, John Ebert, Nancy Mitchell, Greg LaFrance, Lindsy Adkins, Jamie Heater and I will represent our Stations at the Salisbury Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Ceremony at the Black Diamond Lodge where I will be receiving the “Business Woman of the Year Award”.
  • Friday is 3rd Friday in Downtown Salisbury.  The theme for April is Planet Earth and I’m looking forward to some warmer weather for this now traditional community event!
  • Sunday at 5PM, our softball team will be playing against “Looks Good on Paper” (no clue who that team represents) at the Henry Parker Athletic Complex.  Come on out and cheer them on!

ANNIVERSARY OF NOTE:

  • Darryl Baxter will celebrate his first anniversary with our Stations on Wednesday.  Thanks, Darryl, we appreciate all that you do to help our Stations grow.

THERE WILL BE ONE SPECIAL ON 47 ABC THIS WEEK:

  • Thursday will be a 2-hour special of “Grey’s Anatomy” (8-10PM)

SIGNAL ISSUES ON ME-TV seem to be well on the way to being resolved.  Work will continue this week, but we seem to have a grip on the situation.  Upgrades are still scheduled for 27 April. If you hear of, or personally see, signal disruptions, shoot me a note.

RENOVATIONS UPDATE:
The contractor drawings for the lobby railing have been approved and we are awaiting a timeline for delivery of the glass.

  • A portion of the Lobby furniture arrived Thursday and we are all so glad to have somewhere for visitors to sit while they wait for their appointments.  The company shipped one incorrect piece for the sofa and Michael thinks he can get us the correct one within the next two weeks.  We still are awaiting the second area rug that goes under the visitor seating area and the display top for the hutch.  Additional “decorator items” may be added once the basic functionality of arrangements are determined.  John Ebert and Michael Lawrence will be testing the lighting at the interview set to ensure all is good to go before we need it for a walk-in.
