Milford man charged with stragulation

33 year old Charles Jamesly was charged with strangulation, terroristic threatening, and 2nd degree unlawful imprisonment stemming from a domestic dispute according to Milford police.  Officials say police were dispatched to the 100 block of North street on March 31st, 2016 when a female victim called police during a domestic altercation.

The investigation revealed that a verbal dispute turned violent, when Jamesly reportedly assaulted the victim, kicking her in the stomach.  According to police when the victim tried to get away, Jamesly slammed the door refusing to let her leave.  He then reportedly threatened to kill her, and began to strangle her after wrestling the victim to the floor. 

According to Milford PD, the victim was able to free herself and that is when she contacted police.  She reportedly suffered minor injuries, and refused treatment.  Charles Jamesly has been arraigned and commited to SCI in default of $12,500 secured bond.  Jamesly is being charged with Aggravated menacing, strangulation, 2nd degree unlawful imprisonment, terroristic threatening, and offensive touching.
