Mallards Pull Away From Clippers In Road Win

The Worcester Prep boys lacrosse team used a big second quarter run to pull away from Bennett Wednesday night for a 19-8 win. The win was the 5th straight for the Mallards, while the loss drops the Clippers to 1-2.
The Mallards would jump out to a quick lead after getting a couple of goals from Sam Contello and Patrick Petrera. The Clippers would quickly respond though, as freshman Luke Nester would find the back of the net for a couple nice scores, as they pulled back within 1 midway through the second quarter. But that’s when the Mallards would go on a big run, taking a 9-3 lead into the break. Worcester Prep continued to keep up the pressure in the second half as they quickly put the game away for the nice road win.
Bennett returns to work on Friday when they travel to North Caroline, while Worcester Prep host Indian River on Friday.
