Information sought in robbery of 14-year-old in Dover

Police in Dover say they are looking for information, after a 14-year-old was apparently robbed.
Dover Police say on Sunday around 6:30 PM, a 14-year-old boy was walking through the Manchester Square development, when a man walked up to him. According to the report, the man walked up to the teenager from behind, and punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. Police say while he was down, the suspect hit the victim again, before stealing the cellphone out of his pocket.
The suspect then apparently fled from the scene. The victim reportedly didn’t give the Police much of a description of the suspect, only that he had a large frame, and was wearing black Stephen Curry shoes, and grey sweatpants. Police say their investigation is on-going.
They are asking anyone with information to contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7111, or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be sent through the Dover Police Department MyPD mobile app.
