Information sought in assault investigation in Dover

A Dover resident is recovering, after someone apparently walked into their party uninvited, and hit them with a gun.
Dover Police say on Sunday just after 2:00 AM, a man walked into a home on Fulton Street, where a small gathering was going on. He was apparently not invited, so a 20-year-old inside told the suspect to leave. According to the report, the suspect then hit the 20-year-old in the back of the head with a handgun, before running from the area.
Police say the victim was rushed to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment of a laceration to his head. There isn’t much of a description on the suspect, only that he was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and black pants.
The investigation into this incident is apparently on-going at this time. Police are asking anyone with information about the assault to contact them at 302-736-7130 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be sent through the Tip Submit website, or the Dover Police Department’s MyPD mobile app.
