Hoisington Paces Clippers Past Cambridge

The James M. Bennett girls lacrosse team picked up anther conference win Wednesday afternoon, when they defeated Cambridge SD 13-6. The win improves the Clippers to 3-2 on the year, while the loss drops the Vikings to 1-5.

The Clippers would jump out to a quick lead after getting a couple scores from Gabby Hoisington. She would finish with a hat trick in the first half alone as Bennett quickly built a 5 goal lead. The Vikings though would finally settle in and find their footing. Cambridge would get on the board at the midway point of the first half when Ashley Pete found Karlie Hughes for the score. But Bennett continued their strong play to close out the first half, getting a Julianna Sterling and Jane Turner. Then Natalie Dunn would get on the board after Dara Greggory found her for a quick score. Bennett would build a 7-2 lead by the break.
