Easton man arrested on assault charges at Econo-Lodge

An Easton man is facing charges, after Police say he assaulted his roommate at a local hotel. Easton Police say on Thursday, Officers responded to the Econo-Lodge Hotel on Ocean Gateway, for reports of an assault.

Once on scene, Officers say they found a woman, with injuries. She the reportedly told investigators that 53-year-old Michael Cook, had assaulted her. The two has apparently been living together.

Police say they then took Cook into custody, and charged him with assault second degree. An initial appearance with the District Court Commissioner, landed Cook in the Talbot County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond, pending trial.
