Easton Girls Lacrosse Shuts Out Wi-Hi

The Easton girls lacrosse team hit the road Friday afternoon and picked up a convincing 17-0 win over Wi-Hi. The win improves the Warriors to 5-2, while the loss drops the Indians to 0-8.

The Warriors would jump out to a quick lead, getting goals from Casey Baines and Natalie Snyder. But just a few minutes into the game, play would be stopped as the weather turned for the worst. After a delay, the teams would retake the field, but it wouldn’t slow down the Warriors.  Stephanie Miller would be able to find the back of the net, as would Tatum Crouch. The Tribe continued to battle, and Jess Dameus would come up with a couple nice saves in goal. But the Warriors just kept coming as they were able to roll to the win.

Wi-Hi returns to action on Wednesday when they travel to play Stephen Decatur, while Easton host Winter Mills on Saturday.
