Driver found asleep in car in Cambridge, behind bars on drug charges

A Centreville woman is facing drug charges, after Police say she was found asleep in a car.

Cambridge Police say on Friday around 3:10 AM, Officers on patrol noticed a vehicle parked on the side of the road, near the intersection of Route 16 and Race Street. Officers then say they approached the car, and noticed that the driver was sleeping.

According to the report, the driver, 25-year-old Jessica Trott had numerous amounts of prescription medication that did not belong to her, along with several small plastic baggies of heroin, and several syringes.

Police say they then arrested Trott, and charged her with two counts of possession – not marijuana, and other related drug offenses. She was then ordered to be held at the Dorchester County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
