Dover PD to launch driving and pedestrian safety campaign

About a month ago the  Delaware Office of Highway Safety launched a campaign to crack down on distracted driving, and  now the Dover Police Department is set to launch its own campaign.

It is called the “Walk Smart, Drive Smart Campaign” will run April 11th-22nd. Dover Police Department officials tell us they will be having extra patrol units to enforce pedestrian laws in the hopes of educating and changing pedestrian and driver behavior.
  Although the campaign will will last for about two weeks, the Dover Police Department will continue cracking down on distracted pedestrians and drivers.
