Dover PD investigating second Willis Road home invasion

Police say they are investigating two home invasions that happened on the same street, about a half hour apart.
Dover Police say on Sunday, around 10:30 PM, four or five suspects made their way into a home on Willis Road, and threatened the three occupants inside, with handguns. During the incident, Police say a 49-year-old man was assaulted, and ended up with a minor laceration on his forehead.
Police say the suspects eventually ran from the home, with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was apparently taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment of his injury.
Police say this incident was followed by a second home invasion on Willis Road, where a victim was apparently assaulted, and shot. One person has been charged in that incident.
Dover Police say they are continuing their investigation into the first incident, and are asking anyone with information about it to contact them at 302-736-7130 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be sent through the Tip Submit website, or the Dover Police Department’s MyPD mobile app.
