Delmar Stays Perfect, Tops Lake Forest

The Delmar boys lacrosse team stayed perfect on the year Friday night after topping Lake Forest 12-6. The win improves the Wildcats to 4-0, while the loss drops the Spartans to 3-2.
Delmar would jump out to a comfortable lead in the first half, getting scores from Drew Blewitt and Logan Thomas. Delmar was up 9-3 at the break and looked to be well on their way to a win before Lake would make a come back. Austin Aquilar would finish off his hat trick, while Ben Moore would add a couple scores to cut the deficit to just 2. But Delmar would be able to close the door. Jeremy Haynes would add a couple scores, then Blewitt would add the highlight of the night, scoring from his backside late in the 3rd to put the game away.
Delmar returns to work on Monday when they travel to play Bennett, while Lake Forest travels to McKean on Monday.
