Colonels Bring Their Bats To Princess Anne

The Colonel Richardson softball team traveled well on Thursday when they hit the road to take on Washington and came away with a 24-1 win. The win improves the Colonels to 5-3, while the loss drops the Jaguars to 2-4.
The Colonels would jump out to a quick lead, as their bats were red hot from the start. Jazmine Brooks would anchor the line up. Once she got it starter, they would pick up hits from Harris and Wilboughy. The lead quickly grew to double digits, and while their wasn’t a lot of highlights for the home team, they had a lot to smile about after Kelsey Hicks blasted a solo shot for her teams only run. The Colonels continued to come though, getting home runs of their own from Jen Larrimore and Kaylie Moore.
The Colonels return to work on Monday when they travel to play at North Dorchester, while Washington host Crisfield on Friday.
