Camden Avenue farmers market offers SNAP payment method

Calling all farmers market lovers! There’s nothing quite like a farmer’s market, but sometimes the payment options are limited. The Camden Avenue Farmers Market in Salisbury is expanding those options.
Starting next week, you’ll be able to pay using the SNAP benefit and credit card processing system. SNAP offers assistance to millions of low-income families struggling to afford groceries.
The market manager says they applied for a USDA grant, and were approved, meaning customers can buy fresh produce with the token system starting next week.
The Camden avenue farmers market is open year round Tuesdays from 2:30 to 5:30 PM in the parking lot of Asbury United Methodist church.
