Cambridge woman charged with assault

A Cambridge woman is facing charges, after Police say she assaulted someone.

Cambridge Police say on Sunday, Officers responded to Muir Street, for reports of a disturbance. Once on scene, Police say they found that a woman, later identified as 18-year-old Jynaja Cornish, had walked up to a vehicle, and started assaulting the person inside.

Police say Officers were able to restrain Cornish, and take her into custody. She was then charged with assault second degree, and disorderly conduct.

She was later released on her own recognizance, pending trial.
