Cambridge man arrested on drug charges

A Cambridge man is facing drug and weapons charges, after Investigators say they found more than 100 grams of marijuana, and several firearms in his home.

The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office says on Friday, their Criminal Division with help from the the Dorchester County Narcotics Task Force and the Cambridge Police Department, searched an apartment on Muir Street. Investigators say the target of their investigation was 23-year-old Dor’ron Taylor, who was arrested at the home.

The search of the home reportedly revealed 17 Xanex pills, 127 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, 1.2 grams of cocaine, .4 grams of Heroin, $485 in cash, 5 cellphones, 107 small unused plastic baggies, 2 electronic scales, a stun gun, a stolen 9mm pistol, a 22 caliber rifle, a 410 gauge shotgun, and numerous live rounds of ammunition for the weapons.

After his arrest, Taylor was charged with possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, possession of heroin, four counts of possession of CDS paraphernalia, possession of Xanex and removing the label from a prescription bottle.

He is currently being held, without bond.
